Sennheiser Communications are the principal sponsor of the Counter-Strike clan Adrenaline. Under the name adren.gx.sennheiser, some of the clan members will be taking part in US contests like the CPL Dallas and the CyberX Games in Las Vegas. And Sennheiser Communications are giving these players the chance to spend three months preparing for the contests in a bootcamp in California. Adrenaline's players are well known in the games world. Vesslan, quick, XeqtR, Goodfella and Brunk and Notorious will get a monthly salary, allowing them to prepare for the US contests under professional conditions. "The guys at Sennheiser Communications know what we need to keep improving our game. Their support is just ideal," enthuses Vesslan, a Counter-Strike veteran from the early days. Some of the clan will stay in Sweden to take part in contests run by the SEL, the Swedish E-sport League.
Sennheiser Communications is already an established name in the online and LAN gaming world. This summer the company signed a sponsorship agreement with the women's Counter-Strike clan Catz. Both Catz and Adrenaline are equipped with PC 150 professional headsets by Sennheiser Communications.
The company's model PC 150 created an immediate sensation in the international gaming scene. The reasons are the powerful stereo sound and cool design of the headsets, and their great comfort in use, ensuring hours of concentrated gaming for the player. The noise-cancelling microphone screens out annoying ambient sound. For Counter-Strike players, optimum speech transmission is a factor that can sometimes decide the outcome of a game. Even minor distortions can cause misunderstandings and false reactions in communication between the players.
