DW 800
Sennheiser Communications makes its debut in the world of wireless communication with the new, exquisitely designed DW 800. Practical features make the wireless system your flexible workplace companion.
The DW 800 model from the headset specialists Sennheiser Communications brings wireless communication to the office or contact centre. The new wireless system allows the user to roam up to 150 metres away from the docking station, depending on the surroundings, and conduct in-house or external telephone calls in the usual way. Flexibility and variety are the hallmarks of all Sennheiser Communications product lines. Any office or contact centre headset from Sennheiser Communications can be combined with the DW 800, to suit individual preferences.
Apart from the docking station, the system consists of two transceivers. To ensure that there are no limits to how long the system can be used, Sennheiser Communications has developed the ?hot swap? function. If the battery in one of the transceivers starts to lose power during the telephone conversation, the system will hold the connection and the second transceiver comes into play. While that is happening the ?empty? transceiver can be recharged. Being suddenly cut off during an important telephone conversation is thus a thing of the past.
Another practical feature is the intercom function. This involves direct communication from transceiver to transceiver and provides a rapid, flexible instrument for internal communication. Up to five people can take part in a telephone conference using the DW 800. Once in-house participants have logged their transceiver onto the docking station they can join in telephone conversations with outside callers.
The excellent sound quality is typically Sennheiser: the sound clarity system takes care of input signal optimization. Troublesome background noise, for example due to bad lines on long-distance calls, is filtered out whilst the caller?s voice is amplified. Additionally, variations in volume can be countered with a dynamic volume control which constantly keeps the sound at a pleasant, pre-set level.
The DW 800 spells design with a capital D. The look is sheer elegance, with smooth surfaces and function buttons set discreetly into the silver face. The docking station also radiates class and it blends beautifully with any stylish desktop environment. ?In the DW 800 we have succeeded in creating a wireless communication system with unique functions, well able to compete in this major growth market. Anyone who values good sound quality and a superior finish will be well served with the new system from Sennheiser Communications?, says Andreas Bach, Managing Director Sales & Marketing at Sennheiser Communications.
